Crazy 4 Thoughts of You

Hello friends!
Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are enjoying your weekend!

Today ends my time as guest designer for
Crazy 4 Challenges
The new challenge for you today is a simple theme of "Thinking of You", but the twist to this one is that you must also send it out to someone.  I don't think that will be hard for me to do! :)

So here's the card that I came up with for this challenge:
I just love the feeling of warmth that this card evokes.  It really reminds me of my grandma who made a quilt for me.  I remember the feel of the fabric and all of the stitching sewn with love! :)  Just like using left over pieces of fabric in quilting, I enjoyed using some left over pieces of scraps of design paper that I have so heavily accumulated!  This is about as close to quilting that I will probably ever get!   LOL!  Everything I've used on this card is from Stampin' Up!  The name of the stamp set I used is called "Loving Thoughts".
I found this fun tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers and used this idea for my creation.

Here are a couple of other challenges that I'd like to enter this one for:
Crafty Cardmakers - Clean and Simple
Crafting From the Heart - anything goes

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today!  Now please do hop on over to the Crazy 4 Challenges blog to find out what the talented design team has to inspire you with!  Can't wait to see what you come with for this one!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Bag-a-Lope Tutorial with Bugaboo!

Hello friends!  Are you getting ready for your Thanksgiving Dinner?
I am looking forward to spending some time with my family and relaxing with good food and conversation!

As you know during this month of November, I have been a guest designer at
Bugaboo Stamps
I was so happy to have had this opportunity to work with an amazing group of people so friendly and fun along with working with such adorable images of course!
So before I leave as guest designer for the month, I have one more special creation to share with you along with a fun video tutorial on how to make this:
I have used two really adorable images by Bugaboo Stamps called Ginger Boy as well as a matching tag to go with this gift bag called Christmas Tags - Ginger.  Of course I have filled my bag with some yummy chocolate, but you can put anything you'd like to give as a gift!  A small ornament, a stamp or even a gift card would fit nicely inside with a bit of tissue paper to keep out "peekers"!! LOL!

Here is a fun video that I  have created for you to help you put one together for yourself:
Hope you enjoy it!

**Please note that I have stamped a snowflake image and sentiment (bottom) on my bag while it was still flat and then attached the image panel and added my handle, tag and snowy sparkle border to finish it.**

So now that you know how to make one of these, I do hope you try one soon!
Or if you had previously seen it from my last video that got deleted and didn't get to try it out, I do hope you re-visit this tutorial and give it a go!

Here's another photo of the finished design again:
In this photo, you can see better how I've attached the ribbon handle at the top with a snowflake accent and brad in the middle along with the end of the ribbon.  You can also better see the dimension of the "Bag-a-Lope" filled with goodies! :)

I have a couple of challenges that I'd like to enter this for:
Creative Knockouts - Snowflakes
Cute Card Thursday - anything but a card
Brown Sugar - anything goes
Crafts 4 Eternity - glitter & sparkle
Crafty Catz - Tags & Bags
Stampin' for the Weekend - Feeling Festive
Creative Card Crew - Sweet Treats
Top Tip Tuesday (TTT115) - Be Krafty! (hope kraft envelope counts!)
Quirky Crafts - Christmas altered item (altered envelope)

I'd like to shout out to you all a big warm and cheerful
I hope you find time to spend with those most close to your heart.  I thank you ever so much for stopping by and checking out my video.  Please stop by again on Saturday as I have another creation to share with you then.

Thankful Crazy 4 Bugaboo Photo Inspired Challenges!

Hello my friends and welcome to the weekend!
I have a very special post here for you today to share TWO different challenges with one card!
First, as you know I've been guest designing this month for the
Crazy 4 Challenges
They have a wonderful theme this week and very fitting right now which is "Time to be Thankful" - they would like to see your "thankful" creations.  Please be sure to visit the blog for more inspiration!

I also have another challenge up today to share with you at
Catch the Bug (Bugaboo Challenge Blog)
They have a gorgeous photo to help inspire your creation this week!  It's a wonderful reminder of how beautiful this time of year is with all of the changing colors!  (Please see the photo below or on the challenge blog with inspiration from the design team.)

So with BOTH of these challenges in mind, here's the creation that I made:
With all of the trees turning color this time of year, there is always lots of raking and harvesting to do!  So I thought this would be a great card for someone to show how "thankful" you are to them.
I've used this adorable Bugaboo image called Pumpkins and Leaves.  I've used several different colors of Copic markers to blend everything together here.  I've also made a blueish background for a bit more color and then I've added a silver brad to the wheel on the wheel barrel.  I also added a stamped greeting in the corner from Simon Says Stamp. I had so much fun going through my Fall paper stash to find the right colors and design for this too!  Always good to use up more of that! :)

Here are the challenges for this card:
Catch the Bug - inspirational photo (see below)

Crazy 4 Challenges - Time to be Thankful
Sentimental Sunday - Giving Thanks (with sentiment)
Pile it On (PIO46) - With Thanks
Sketch N Stash - sketch
Papertake Weekly - Giving Thanks
Creative Inspirations - Thanksgiving/Thank you
Fab 'N' Funky - anything goes
4 Crafty Chicks - anything goes
Aud Sentiments - any sentiment

I hope you've enjoyed my creation share for you today and now please go on over to the challenge blogs to find out more information and see the gorgeous inspiration.  THEN...get to your craft table and make up something that YOU are thankful for and enter the challenges!  I'd love to see what you all come up with! Thanks for stopping by!  I am very thankful to all of you!  Enjoy your weekend!

It's also getting closer to Christmas I might add!

Bugaboo is offering up this darling Friday Freebie for you today!

I've colored this jolly fellow with my Copic markers and added some distressing inks to the panel along with some glitter along the edges for a bit of a Vintage feel.  Added a fun ticket sentiment to the side and used some ribbons, twine and button to tie it altogether like the pretty presents Santa is holding! :)  It's a bit hard to tell, but the red and white striped paper along the left side are glittered up too!  Hope you've enjoyed my creation with this darling Santa today and I'd like to see what you make with him too!  This makes for another great Christmas card to add to my pile to go out! Yay!

Trimming the Tree The Alley Way!

Hello friends and happy "hump day" to ya! :)
Hope you are enjoying your week so far!  I have a quick and simple creation to share with you today!

As you may have seen, I have been trying my hand here and there with the CAS style design.  I was looking at a couple of blog friends' posts and saw they were using these stamps...so of course I had to see what was up with all of it!  I found this fun inspirational photo challenge and here's my card:
I do not own any of these The Alley Way stamps, but I did look on their challenge blog and saw a fun inspirational photo challenge and they offer up some freebies so you can play!  I instantly fell in love with the playful and whimsical images...so I'm sure it won't be long before I grab a set or two in the future! :)

I took one of their freebies and printed out the tree image three times so that I could only use the spotted tree for my design to match the photo inspiration provided.  (See photo below.)  I've also pulled some fun spotted papers from my stash and cut out a wavy snow line for my trees.  I added some glitter to the edge of the snow line and the spots on the tree.  The sentiment was part of their freebie image as well.
This was so fun to put together and now I have a Christmas card to add to my pile for sending out cards this year! Yay!  Hopefully more will follow soon!

Here are some challenges I'd like to enter:
The Alley Way - photo inspiration:
Creative Knockouts - Make it sparkle
Less is More - Use decorative paper in CAS way

Thanks so much for stopping in today!  I will be back again on Friday with something fun and FREE to share with you all! :)  Please stop back by to see what it is!!

Comissioned Card Goes to Cake Boss!

Hello friends!
I would like to start this post for thoughts and prayers for all of those people who have lost their homes and suffered during the horrible Midwest Tornado on Sunday.  It was about 40 miles away from where I live (Washington, IL) and I did some checking to make sure everyone I knew near that area was O.K.  Luckily the people I know seem to be OK with houses still standing.  They have created a special recovery Facebook page for people to come looking for loved ones, pets, shelter, meals and more.  So please check it out if you'd like to help or know someone who needs help.  I know my local area is now setting up lots of areas to drop off non-perishable goods, water, bleach, soap, etc that has been set up by The Red Cross and will be going to those in need for that area.  Appreciate any and all help from everyone!

My step-son is in the National Guard and lives near the area.  Although he wasn't called in, he has been over there volunteering his help anyway.  So proud of him!
I have been meaning to post this card for a few weeks and never got it done, but I had so much fun creating this card for a customer:
There is a story behind this creation:  my customer who ordered this card had a nephew that is a HUGE "Cake Boss" fan and he received a ticket to his show coming up at the end of this month to go see him!  It's such a big deal because this is a young boy and really idolizes him!  He is lucky enough to be able to meet him in person back stage as well!  All she told me was to come up with something with the greeting that I've used at the top of this design!  I thought YIKES!! :)

So of course my mind turned to the adorable Chef Edwin images!  I was concerned about having a "little" chef next to a regular sized Edwin Chef...but I think it worked out just fine!  If you click on the Chef Edwin image above, you'll see that he looks a bit different than what I have on my card.  I cut out his pasta colander and added a rolling pin image he's holding!  I've used a mini Chef Edwin and placed him sitting on top of the slice of cake! :)  And of course this card is from a boy going to a man, so I didn't want too much of the lace, sparkle and ribbon on it.  However, I did find some fun cupcake paper that happened to be blue for the background.  Then I just added the computer generated sentiment and thought it would be fun to mimic the buttons on their chef jackets and placed some silver brads next to the sentiment.  And although I didn't take a photo of the inside of my card, I added the sentiment:  "Thanks for inspiring me!" :)

I was happy with how it turned out and she seemed to be really happy with it as well...so of course that was all I needed to know!  So this is an honor for me to make a creation knowing that a celebrity will be receiving it!  I was so happy to have made this for the occasion and share in the excitement with those surrounding this event!  Hoping this young chef has a great time! :)

Here are some challenges I found to enter this one for:
Send a Smile 4 Kids - anything goes
Fab 'N' Funky - anything goes (birthday celebration)
Created with Love (CWLC67) - anything goes

So I hope you've enjoyed my creation today!  Hopefully I can get a few minutes this evening so I can see what you've all been up to and I'd like to create a few things in my stamp room today!  I will have some more fun things coming up soon for you on my blog, so please keep watching here! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate it!

Bugaboo BINGO!

Here I am again my friends with another challenge for you to try!
I would first like to say a big welcome to my newest followers!  I appreciate that you are here with me and hope that you enjoy what I share!  I know there are new followers not only through my Google Friend Connect, but I also have new followers through Blog Lovin' as I get an e-mail when someone follows.  Although I don't use Blog Lovin', I know there are several of you that do, so I wanted to be sure to include that option...along with several other ways to subscribe to my blog!  Whatever way you do like subscribe, I would just like to acknowledge this and say thank you! :)

Today there is a fun B-I-N-G-O challenge over at
Catch the Bug
Here is what is on the Bingo card for you:

And so I grabbed me a really sweet Bugaboo image to play along with:
This sweet little turtle is all ready for Thanksgiving!  This is the Turtle-Thanksgiving image from Bugaboo!  I've decided to color him up in lots of pretty Fall shades.  I've even added some crystal effects to the pumpkin, which you can see along with the apple on his shell.  The buckle on his hat was colored with my gold glitter pen.  And then I added some glitter to the sunflower and corn cob on his shell.  Found these papers in my stash that looked like the perfect pairing for this guy!

So for my BINGO, I used the first line straight across:  Brad, Starts with "T" (turtle & Thanksgiving of course!), and Bugaboo image.  I could include the second row going across as well for a second BINGO, but not sure if that counts or not!! LOL!

These are the other challenges that I'd like to enter my card for:
Kaboodle Doodles - Bountiful Harvest/Blessings
Tuesday Throwdown - Gratitude
Fab 'n' Funky - anything goes
Simon Says - Thanks/Thanksgiving
Brown Sugar (BSCB-68) - Thanksgiving (Bugaboo sponsored!)
Crafts 4 Eternity - Tic Tac Toe (Stripes, Sentiment, Glitter)
The Pink Elephant (TPE225) - Fall photo inspired
Splitcoast Stampers (SC462) - sketch

So now you need to hope on over to the Catch the Bug challenge blog to see all of the wonderful inspiration from the design team and how they used the fun Bugaboo Bingo board! :)
I thank you so much for stopping by my blog, I truly appreciate it!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Crazy 4 a Sketch!

Hello friends!  Welcome to another weekend in November!
So have you been working on your Christmas cards?  I've been so busy sending out donated Christmas cards and such that I actually don't have very many Christmas cards for myself! Yikes!
I guess I better get going on that soon, huh?!

And did I make a Christmas design for you today?  Nope.
But I do have a wonderful sketch challenge for you to try out today over at
Crazy 4 Challenges
I hope you will pop over there to see what the fun and easy sketch is as well as catch the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the design team using the sketch!

Here's what I've done with the sketch provided:
I've pulled out my Stampin' Up! stamps and supplies that I think I've been hoarding a bit and put them together to form this design with the sketch!  I think the sentiments from the Feel Goods stamp set are so fun and I love the font used for the sentiments.  Of course I matched up the colors with my papers and I had some pretty Pool Party ribbon to set off the side of the main panel.  I've also used my butterflies thinlits die to add some pops of color accents.

Here are a few other challenges that I'd like to add this creation for:
Creative Card Crew - pearls
Crafty Creations - dies and punches
Flutterby Wednesday - open challenge with a butterfly or fairy

I hope you've enjoyed my creation and that you hop on over and check out the challenge!  I'd love to see what you come up with using the sketch! :)  I'll be back in just a bit to share another challenge creation with you!  Thanks for checking in!

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

Hello friends!  Hope you are having a good week so far!
It's been REALLY chilly here lately and even snowed the other night!  We rarely see any snowfall in November.  I think a couple of years back at Thanksgiving, my family was outside playing basketball! LOL!!  So with my thermometer reading 16 degrees right now in the middle of November is just a bit cold!  I usually don't mind it, but I really don't want to skip Fall either!

So today I have a quick post that I wanted to share with you.  I know that I've bombarded you with several posts over the weekend and I've been working on some other things "behind the scenes" that will all be shared with you in due time.  But for now, here's a sweet and fun NON-stamped project...yep...I only printed this time!  GASP!
LOL!!  I think this guy is just too funny and sweet!  I saw on the Operation Write Home blog during a new sketch challenge that they were showcasing some creations made with two digital stamp sets by Doodle Pantry.  They are having a special fund raiser that when you buy this special two set piece (Missing You & With Heart) together, they will donate a portion of the sales towards Operation Write Home!  I thought this was such a cool idea as postage is so expensive these days, so I sure wanted to help! :)  You get so many different elements in the sets to play with!....and some are already colored in for you...which is what I have used above along with the digital papers. - CLICK HERE for complete details.

I did print out an additional elephant so that that I could pop out the ears a bit for dimension and I also added some crystal effects over the heart which is hard to see in the photo.  I thought this would make for a great "any occasion" card, but it has some valentine sentiments in the set as well which would really make some cute Valentines.

Here are the challenges I'd like to enter this in:
Operation Write Home - Sketch #198
Doodle Pantry (DPDC40) - any digi goes! (from any company)
Fussy and Fancy Friday - Black and Blue
Shopping Our Stash (SOS127) - Use something left on your desk (button)
Addicted to Stamps & More - anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafty - Add a sentiment

So that's it for me today friends!  Hope you've enjoyed my NON-stamped card and check out the Operation Write Home on how you can help out! ;)
Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a good one!

Addicted to Stamps with Dies and Punches!

Hello friends!  I hope that you are enjoying your weekend so far!
We have had so many different things going on this entire week and the Holidays haven't even hit us yet! LOL!  Oh boy when that comes up!

There is another new challenge up over at
Addicted to Stamps
For this challenge, we would like for you to use your favorite dies and/or punches!
Such a nice and easy one!  I think my biggest problem was trying to figure out and narrow down as to which die cuts/punches that I wanted to use!!  I don't think that I have a favorite!  I love them all!
So here's what I've come up with for this challenge...
I absolutely ADORE this stamp!  It comes from Whipper Snapper.  I've had it for quite a while and have only used it once on something that I never posted to my blog and that I no longer have!

For the solid colored card stock, I've used the Stampin' Up! Basic Grey and Soft Sky for my colors here.  The snowflake paper in the background is a gorgeous piece of silver embossed snowflakes and I couldn't tell where it came from other than I got it for free with an order from somewhere! LOL!  I have really hoarded it because I think it's so stunning.

For my die cuts and punches:  I've used the Memory Box snowflake die, Martha Stewart "Goo" Border Punch, Corner Rounder Punch and Itty Bitty Shapes Punch from Stampin' Up!
I've placed rhinestones in the center of the snowflakes and where I've used the Itty Bitty Shapes punch in the center of the bow, I've added a silver glitter accent.

Here are some other challenges I'd like to enter this for:
The Squirrel & The Fox - Animal Antics
Stampavie & More - Die Cut Embellishments
Creative Knockouts - "Get Punchy"
Cute Card Thursday - Animal Magic
The Crafter's Café - Friends
A Creative Romance - Winter Blues
Winter Wonderland - For a Child at Christmas (sending off to Stamp Smiles 4 Kids)
Pile it On (PIO44) - Animals with Character

So now you need to hop on over to the Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog to see what lovely creations my fellow design team friends have come up with using their favorite dies and punches!  I can't wait to see what you all come up with too!
I thank you so much for stopping by today and I hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend and that you have lots of fun crafty time as well!

It's a Western Round-Up!

Howdy friends!  I'm feeling a little bit Country today! :)

There's a new theme challenge up at the
Catch the Bug Challenge Blog
and they would like to see your "Western style" designs
I couldn't believe just how many adorable western themed images there are at Bugaboo, so I decided to go with this cute lil partner...
This adorable cowboy is called Wee Ones Cowboy - Howdy from Bugaboo.  He comes with the "Howdy" sentiment, but it's separate from the image...which I really like!  So even though it looks like I've used the image exactly as it's shown on the website, I had put them together on my computer to make one image and then printed it out.  I like the fact that I can choose to put the sentiment wherever I want or print it out separate from the image.

I also had so much FUN putting this card together too!  This would be a perfect card for my dad because he just loves those Country Western shows/movies and has a collection of them.  So whenever I think of cowboys, I think of my dad. :)  What I think is also nice about this card was the fact that I was able to use up some more of my REALLY old papers!  It's so nice to be able to pull from those things and actually USE it...instead of always buying new!
The lasso was super easy to create with some natural jute that I had thrown in the back of a drawer.
The card stock, papers and border sticker is from an old packet of CTMH scrapbook stuff that I had gotten for free years ago from somewhere...pretty bad, huh?!  The papers weren't already "worn and beat up" like it shows, I actually sanded around the edges of the papers and card stock. :)

I would like to enter this one in a few other challenges:
Kaboodle Doodles - Tribute to a Loved One (my dad)
Divas by Design - Use a Digi
Brown Sugar - anything goes
Daring Cardmakers - Other Occasions (Not Christmas or Birthday)

So I hope you will giddy up on over to the Catch the Bug challenge blog to be inspired by the rest of the design team with their "Western Round-Up" creations as well!  Hope you will play along with us as I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!  Remember if you use a Bugaboo image for the challenge, your chances of winning increase! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by as I know it seems that I'm posting all at once now! LOL!
I still have just ONE more post for you later this evening and I hope you will join me for some even MORE challenge fun!  Have a lovely Saturday my friends!

Crazy 4 Frames!

Hello my friends and welcome to the weekend! Yay!

So today starts another new challenge over at
Crazy 4 Challenges
This time, they would like to see you "Put a Frame On It!"
(You can put or use a frame on your card in whatever way you'd like!)
Since I don't really have any frames, I thought that I would just create my own with a stamp...
I thought it would be cool if I could take one of my flourish border stamps and use it to create a frame.  So I took my Christmas style flourish border image from the HOTP Merry & Bright clear stamp set (Please note that this link will take you to a digital file...the clear stamp set is not available any longer.) and lined it up to create a frame and I also embossed it with silver embossing powder.

I then took the tree, greeting and snowflake stamp to create a "scene" to place behind the "frame" I created and glued it to the back of the cut out frame.  I also added some glitter to the middle of the snowflakes.  I then layered a dry embossed brown panel behind it to give the appearance of a wood grain texture on my design, matted with metallic silver cardstock and added the finishing ribbons and button.  I also flipped up the edges of the embossed frame to give it a bit of dimension.

I had so much fun putting together this frame and hope to create some more of them using different stamps!  If you'd like to see some more inspiration with frame designing, then be sure to check out the creations from the rest of the design team at Crazy 4 Challenges!

Here are a few other challenges that I'd like to enter this for:
Penny's Paper Crafty - Lots of Layers (there are 4 not including card base)
Charisma Cardz - anything goes
Alphabet Challenge - 'T' for Twine
Beccy's Place - A month of Holiday Cards (trees)

So I hope you will find the time to "get your frame on" and play along with us! I'd love to see what you come up with for it!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I will be back again with your shortly!

A Very Merry Elf for Friday Freebie!

Hello my friends!  The weekend is ALMOST here! Yay!
I for one am READY for this week to be over!  It's been a bit crazy around my house and it's been really hard to find time to stop and create let alone post or do some blurfing!
So I hope I can find some "peaceful" time to stamp this weekend!

I do have something fun to share with you today!
Bugaboo comes out with a digital stamp FREEBIE every Friday and today I'd like to share with you the new one that is being served up to you today...
I think this little guy is too cute! He looks like a happy little working elf getting ready for Christmas which is coming very soon!  This image is called AKV (which stands for "A Kid's View") elf-ornament.  And you can get him as a Friday Freebie!  Just CLICK HERE to get him for FREE!

I thought it would be fun to add some glitter to his ornament with some gold Stickles and I've used some of my gold glitter paper for a couple of stripes going across the middle.  I also punched out a couple of circles from the gold glitter paper to add to the ends of my sentiment.
I've also put some liquid applique on his hat trim.
I was so happy to pull out some older papers from my huge paper stash to use it up.  I thought it went well with his greenish outfit.  I also added a fun "loopy" border with my border punch at the top.  I didn't want this to look too fancy as this is such a playful image.  The "Very Merry" sentiment comes from an Avocado Arts clear stamp set.

Here are a few challenges that I'd like to enter this card for:
allsorts - Christmas Cheer
Send a Smile 4 Kidz - Happy Holidays 4 Kidz (Bugaboo is sponsoring!)
Created with Love (CWL#65) - Christmas Reds & Greens
Papertake Weekly - anything goes (with optional Christmas)
Fab 'N' Funky - Traditional Christmas Colors
CRAFT - Christmas

So I hope you will be sure to grab your Friday Freebie today and perhaps play in a challenge or two with it!  It's so fun and easy to color in...and there really is several possibilities with it!  If you'd like to see more inspiration with this image, then be sure to stop on over at the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the design team has come up with for you using this darling image!

Thanks so much for checking in with me today friends!
I will be back again tomorrow with some more inspiration to share with you, so I do hope you will stop by again to check out what's going on!!  Have a fabulous Friday!

Let's Kick Some Butt!

Hello friends!  Hope all is well with you today!
I was still trying to get my SCS "Hope You Can Cling To" challenge creations finished up by the deadline...this Thursday, but I think I have come to the conclusion that...yeah...that's not gonna happen!  I am proud of what I did get done though!  I should have a good 25 cards to be shipped out for this.  It's not every single challenge, but I am pleased that I have something to donate.

Here is another one of those creations that I'd like to share with you today...
If you are not familiar with my fellow blog friend Jennifer Skull, she has hosted this particular challenge on splitcoast stampers for this event.  She has gone through her own personal battles with this and I happen to admire her courage.  I've been a long time blog friend with her, so I wanted to be sure to complete her challenge of using some type of "boot" or "shoe" image on your creation.  We all need to put on those "brave girl boots" at some point in our lives! :)  So thanks for inspiring Jen!

I can't say where exactly this shoe came from as I found it on the web...I didn't own any shoe type of stamps...not any that would work well for this.  I was also waiting on my new "Hope" clear stamp set by Paper Smooches to arrive JUST so that I could use this sentiment for it!  I've also used the pink awareness ribbons from the stamp set as well.  One for the middle of the boot and the other for the "fight" oval panel along the side.  The shoe reminded me of a boxing boot with heels! LOL!

So here are some challenges that I'd like to include this one for:
SCS HYCCT1318 - Put on Your Brave Girl Boots
SCS Wednesday Sketch challenge (SCS459) - sketch
Loves Rubber Stamps (LRSBC77) - anything goes

I will have some more creations to share with you all soon!  But for today, I have a busy day ahead of me and much creating time ahead in my craft room! :)  So I hope you will join me here all this week!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Catch the Bug Challenge with Bugaboo in November!

Hello friends!  I'm back here with you again to share another challenge post for November!

As you know from my previous Bugaboo post, you saw that I had announced that I was a guest designer for them during the month of November...and they have a new challenge up this morning to kick off this month!  So if you are already familiar with them, then you know that every Saturday they have a new challenge up at their
Catch the Bug Challenge Blog
And for the challenge today to start us off for November is....
Anything Goes!!
So super easy that anyone can play!  And if you haven't yet, be sure to pick up this week's Friday Freebie (that you saw in my last Bugaboo post) and play with us!
So here's what I came up with for this challenge:
I absolutely ADORE this image from Bugaboo called Right Beside You Silhouette.  Although this is a really simple design, I think it really doesn't need much to making it fabulous!
All I did was print out this image the size that I wanted which fits perfectly on my 5" square card here.  I matted it with a Soft Sky card stock panel and for the image I used my shimmer chalks to make a serene scene with a beautiful sky and setting sun.

As you saw from my last post, I'm still trying to work on getting my SCS Hope You Can Cling To challenge cards done by the deadline which is November 7th...I think!  So I'm going to try REAL hard to get what I can done.  I have so many ideas for some of the challenges, so I might be hopping around with them a bit instead of doing them in order like I was.  So this card and the card in my last post will be going to the cause for that.

Here's what I'd like to enter this card for:
SCS HYCCT1319 - "Scene of Serenity"
CAS-ology - Black

Addicted to Stamps & More - CAS

So that's all I have for you today!  I hope you've enjoyed my share and be sure to stop by the Bugaboo Challenge Blog to see all of the wonderful inspiration from the design team to see what they came up with for this challenge!  Hope you will join us and I can't wait to see what you come up with!  Thanks so much for joining me today!  I really appreciate it!

November Guest Designer at Crazy 4 Challenges!

Hello friends!  Happy weekend to ya! :)
I hope you have a nice and relaxing one...and of course find time to stamp and play!

I'm so excited to tell you that I was asked to be a November guest designer at

That is one thing that I can say is that I do love to play along in challenges, so of course I happily excepted their offer to join!

For their first weekly challenge (C4C210) in November, they would like to see your
BLACK, WHITE & a SPLASH of Color on your creation!
Sounds like so much fun I know...so hop on over and join in!
Here's what I came up with for the challenge:
I really love the look of the black and white designs, but don't make them that often, so this was really fun for me to put together!
I pulled out the elegant looking Layered Labels stamp set from Stampin' Up! and used several of my die cuts to layer the same image on top of itself.  I thought it would be good to add in my "splash" of color in the layer and along the border at the bottom of my design.  I've used Primrose Petals for my "splash" color of this design.
I also got to use up some more of huge stack of design papers I have hoarded for so long!  The black taffeta ribbon was actually the ONLY black ribbon that I could find that worked with my label I have it tied up to.  Then I just added some rhinestones to finish it off.
I've used three different dies and one border punch on my design here.  It pretty much did all of the work for me.  Don't forget to stop by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog to see what the design team has come up with inspiration for you!  Can't wait to see what you come up with! ;)

Here are some other challenges that I'd like to enter this in:
SCS HYCCT1331C - "I Can't Believe It's Over!" (black, white & pop of color:  PINK (team Holly)
Penny's Paper Crafty - Add Black or Bling

Thanks so much for popping in and I hope to see you playing along with us!
I will be back in the morning to share another creation with you!

November Bugaboo Guest Designer - Friday Freebie!

Hello friends!  Welcome to November! Wow...where in the world did October go?!
It is getting closer to the Holiday Seasons for sure...hope you are all getting prepared!

I have some fun news to share with you today!
Since I won during the Bugaboo "Christmas in July" event, I was given a guest design spot for the entire month of November!  It will be so fun as I really enjoy playing with the images!
I have a special creation for you today starting off the month with a
LOL!  This "cheesy" fellow is today's FRIDAY FREEBIE at Bugaboo!  You can find him HERE.  His name is "Chubby Cheese/Fat Mouse" and it looks like he's up to sharing!!
Be sure to also catch the inspiration from the Catch the Bug challenge blog that the rest of the design team have come up with using this same image!

I have colored him in with my Copic markers and I put a bit of sparkle on the heart in his bottom, but it's hard to see it in the photo.  I then just added a little sentiment along the side with some extra hearts and bit of bling.  I've also used some yummy natural trim ribbon along the bottom.  Super simple and fun!

So I've found some challenges to enter my card for:
Eclectic Ellapu - inspired by film ("Ratatouille")
Papertake Weekly - Sketchie Free for All (Sketch #84)
Simon Says - anything goes
Pile it On - at least two different embellishments (rhinestones & ribbons)

Hope you enjoy your Friday and up-coming weekend.  I will be back again tomorrow to share a new Bugaboo challenge creation as well as some other fabulous news to share with you!  So I hope you come back by for a visit!  Thanks for stopping in today!
