Happy Valentine's Day - Just peeking in...

Hello friends!  Happy Valentine's Day!!  Are you spending it with your loved one?
 Hope you are doing well!
I had a bit of time to work on a fun Valentine's Day card for my sweetheart and I thought I would just make a quick post and share it with you! :)  (I do not have to worry about hubby seeing my post as he should have already received it by the time this goes up!)

I'm hoping to be back up and blogging again very soon, but for now I will share this card....
I absolutely fell in love with this "Bright Idea" stamp set from Technique Tuesday!  My hubby is an electrician, so this was a perfect set to make several cards for him for many different occasions! :)

I saw on Splitcoast Stampers that the Monday Clean and Simple challenge was to mimic a card from p. 37 of the Stampin' Up! catalog using this "stair step stamping" technique.  I decided to use the small hearts from the set instead of using the sentiment idea.  And although I've used different colors for each heart, the Real Red and Melon Mambo look almost exactly the same in this photo, but it looks so colorful in real life!  The lighter pink color is Pink Pirouette.  The light hanging down was stamped with Basic Gray and then I brushed some pink chalk around it and then glittered up the light dome of it.  I've also added a very thin strip of Basic Gray textured card stock to balance out the colors a bit on the one layer card.

Here are a couple of challenges that I'd like to enter this for:
Splitcoast Stampers Clean & Simple Cards (CAS259) - SU! Stair-Step Sketch
Color Throwdown (CTD279) - see below

Less is More - One Layer Week (anything goes)

I want to say thank you for stopping in today!  Hopefully I'll be coming back to regular blogging again soon.  Been having some problems being able to get into my stamp room and I have recently hurt my back which makes it even more difficult, but I will be here again soon! :)  I look forward to spending some time playing around with my stamps and ink again!  See ya soon!
