Whimsy Stamps Wednesday VIDEO - Christmas Shaker Ornament Tag!

Hello friends!
It is now officially the month of December!  Are we getting close to Christmas or what?!
Time to start making things up for Christmas!  :) - unless you already finished in which case I am totally jealous of you!! LOL!!

On a side note, I wanted to share a bit of special news if you didn't see it on my FB page:
On November 30th, hubby and I became proud grandparents of our new granddaughter
Ella Jean Parson!

She was 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 20.5" long.
She's the most precious little girl and we couldn't be more happy!  Can't wait until we can see her again soon! :)
-------------------------------------------------------

So today, I have some special Christmas inspiration for you with a "Shaker Ornament Tag" using Whimsy Stamps products!

To watch the complete details on how I've put together this tag, catch it all in my video below or CLICK HERE to watch on You Tube.

I'm thinking of all of those yummy treats we get at Christmas time! :)  I love to add those candy canes to the Christmas tree so that my family can gradually "pluck" them off to use as stir sticks for their hot cocoa!! There is usually lots of baking going on this time of year for me, so it will be fun to start that up again very soon!

For my ornament, I have used several Whimsy Stamps products on my design.
I have started out assembling the shaker ornament by using the Whimsy Stamps Stitched Circles die set to make the frame, window and backing for my shaker.  To make the top "ornament holder tab", I just used the Whimsy Stamps Stitched Tag dies by die cutting the second largest tag in the set and then I just cut off the top portion of the tag to use for it.

The peppermint candies for the shaker contents came from the Clearly Whimsy Stamp set called "Sweet as Candy-Sweet Images".  I used a circle punch to punch out the shapes and add to the rest of the shaker contents inside.  The gingerbread man was stamped and fussy cut out in addition to the sentiment was done using the Clearly Whimsy Stamp set called "Gingerbread House".  I thought he would be so cute to add to this design!

Hope you've enjoyed my Christmas project today!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Congratulations on that precious little granddaughter! What a wonderful Christmas present she is :) That's a great tag too, and no matter how many times I've tried to make shaker cards, I just never get the hang of it for some reason. I'll just enjoy shakers that the experts create :)

Congrats on the adorable Granddaughter and thanks for sharing pictures! I know you are thrilled and excited and proud! Your crafting time may reduce now - mine sure did when my two little Grandson's were born a few months ago. Such wonderful news,

Your shaker tag is so well done and looks so professional! I wish I could make it but shaker things and me do not get along. I love them - especially this one. Many hugz!
