Here are the cards that I've created for this hop with the new STAMPlorations goodies:
When I think of Spring, I think about all of the pretty colors, flowers blooming and butterflies fluttering around.  So I wanted to try and capture all of this with my card design here.

I've also been trying to get out my new Ranger Oxide inks to play with, so I took them out to create this fun oxide background you see. I then wanted to play around the STAMPlorations Shower of Flutters stencil, so I took some Versamark ink and layered that over the stencil and then embossed it with white EP.  I then took some more distress ink to make the butterflies more prominent without going over too far on the embossing lines.  I like the way the embossing graduates out.

For the coffee, I took the STAMPlorations new stamp called Framed Coffee for One and stamped it with Oxide ink on a piece of vanilla card stock.  I used the same oxide ink color to darken around the edges of it for an oxide look.  I also stamped it again in black ink over white card stock as well as in black ink over this beautiful STAMPlorations FREEBIE image that you can check out HERE.  I also stamped it one more time with black ink over a kraft colored card stock.  I did a bit of "paper piecing" with all of these by fussy cutting out the cup in all of these:  bottom layer of the coffee cup is the floral pattern that I colored with Copics.  The white based image, I just cut out the lid and straw and glued that over top of my floral stamped image.  I then took the kraft based image and only cut out the "sleeve" on the cup.  I popped that out with some foam tape.  I layered all of this onto another kraft layer at a titled angle on my design.

For the banner hanging down, I have stamped the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Literary Caffeine-ations stamp set with both light and dark brown oxide inks.  I used these oxide inks to create the look around the edges of the banner.  I stamped the butterfly from the STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge stamp set with oxide ink.  I had a punch in my stamp that I cut it out with.  I attached the butterfly and a piece of twine with a pink enamel dot on the banner and then popped that up with foam tape over my design.

Here's a closer look at some of the details:
You can see the details of my paper piecing and that I've also added some shimmer to the flowers with my Spectrum Noir glitter pen.

-------------------------------------------
Yes, I have yet ANOTHER card to share with you today!!
I felt like doing some coloring , so I took the gorgeous STAMPlorations FREEBIE image and printed it out smaller than I did on the above Framed Coffee Cup card.  I even cut off the edges so that it would fit on my A2 sized card base.  I colored it in with my Copics, cut it out to fit my card and layered it onto a piece of black card stock.

I took the new STAMPlorations Thanks a Latte die and cut it out in black card stock and attached it over the colored image.  I punched a tiny butterfly to add to the tail end of it.

Here's a closer look at the details:
I've used my metallic, black and white gel pens to add details to the image.

--------------------------------
So that's it for me today!
I wanted to be sure to take the time to say thank you to Shery and her wonderful family for having me along as a guest designer for the last three months....it has been an absolutely pleasure!  Always fun to play with these lovely products and I know I will continue to do so!

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you've enjoyed my creations!
See you soon!

It's Spring Fever Over at Cute Card Thursday!

Hello friends!
Are you ready for Spring?!  I sure am!  I'm ready for warmer weather!
Wanted to pop in and share the new challenge with you over at
CUTE CARD THURSDAY
This week's challenge is "Spring Fever"!  (I think we are all feeling it!)
We can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Here's the card that I've created for this challenge:
I couldn't resist playing along with some new goodies that I got from Lawn Fawn! :)
This looks like my Mocca checking outside the window to see what's going on.  LOL!

To start with, I used a piece of gray A2 sized top folding card base for my design.  I took the My Favorite Things Small Brick Wall stencil and stenciled the brick background over my card base with some Pumice Stone distress ink.

I have used the LF Wonderful Window die to cut out a window for the front of my card!  For the flower box and flowers in front of it, I just cut those out in white and colored them in with my Copics and distress inks.  (I did the same for the flowers at the bottom in the grass.)  I also colored in the tiny heart from the negative of the die and popped that back into the window.  I thought it just added a something extra to the design.  For the background behind the window, I just cut out some paper to attach to it from the LF Watercolor Wishes paper.  (I really like how the windows open up and you can leave them open or shut...so I decided to close one and open the other on my design.)  For the curtain, I used the LF Fancy Scalloped Rectangle dies and cut it so that it would go behind my window at an angle.

You'll notice Mocca sitting in the window which I took from the LF Happy Howloween set and used the coordinating dies to cut her out with and attached her to the inside open window. (She was also colored with Copics.)  The flower box below the window was popped up with some foam tape.

For the bottom portion of my design, I used the LF Grassy Border die to from a strip of green card stock.  Before attaching it to the bottom of my card, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the LF How You Bean? stamp set and sponged some green distress ink along the bottom for shading.  As mentioned above, this is where I took the flower tops colored with Copics and glued them in random spots on the grass border.

Lastly, I took the raindrops from the LF Spring Showers die to die cut some raindrops out of the LF Watercolor Wishes paper again.  I glued them in random areas on the card front and then covered them with a glitter pen for a bit of shimmer.

Here's a closer view at some of the details:
Here you can better see the dimension on the window open as well as the flower box underneath the window.  You can also better see the shimmer on the raindrops.

I do love a nice warm Spring rain, don't you?  I'm just waiting for the warm part now! LOL!
Please be sure to stop by the Cute Card Thursday challenge blog to see the rest of the inspiration from the design team and to enter the challenge with us!

Thanks for dropping by today and I'll see you soon! :)

Lucky Lil Birdie Bringing Good Luck!

Hello friends!
Wanted to play along with the From the Heart Monthly challenge and this cute image actually came at a great time because I needed a card for someone to wish luck on a couple of life events getting ready to happen.

Here's the card I cam up with using this cute image:
This image is called "Lucky Lil Birdie" at From the Heart Digital Stamps.  I just love that smile on his face!  I have also based my card on the current sketch at the FTH blog.  (see below).

To start out, I've printed him out twice from my computer.  I colored in the horseshoe he's holding as well as his hands and the green clovers he's holding with my Copics.  I've added some extra shimmer to the horseshoe with a clear Noir Spectrum glitter pen.  I then cut that portion of the image out with my scissors and went along the edges with a black marker to cover any white showing.  I colored the other image completely with Copics.  I used a cloud stencil that I made previously from a die cut and sponged some blue ink in the background for sky.  I then used some foam squares to pop up the horseshoe portion of the image over the whole image to give some dimension.

The rest is pretty simple as I followed the sketch and cut a piece of green plaid paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper, I've added a border of black card stock and also layered the main image with black card stock .  I added a portion of a sentiment that was included with the stamp set, which was also printed out on my computer.  I just cut out what I wanted and made my own banner that was popped up with foam squares at the bottom right portion of my card.

The card base is an A2 sized top folding white card stock piece.
Here's a closer look at the cute image:
Here you can better see the shimmer from the horseshoe he's holding as well as get a better view of the dimension from it being popped out with foam squares.

I hope it will bring a little bit of extra luck to the recipient or at least bring a smile! :)
Thanks so much for dropping by today!
I'll be seeing you soon!

Mid-month Reminder for STAMPlorations CAS Challenge

*CLICK HERE if you missed my Cute Card Thursday post earlier today*

Hello friends!
I'm back again to share a mid-month reminder for the
 STAMPlorations CAS card challenge
As always anything CAS goes with the optional color twist of sky blue for this month.
So if you haven't joined in the challenge yet this month, be sure to play along!  You have until March 31st to join us!  If you need some more inspiration, be sure to check out the blog post HERE!  I've really been enjoying the gallery so far this month!  :)

Here's another card that I've created for this challenge:
I guess I'm still in the "Celebrating" mood, so I decided to go with a birthday theme for my card this time!  ( I do have so many birthdays in the month of March...so it's always good to prepare!)

For my card today, I have used the STAMPlorations Cupcake-Large on my white A2 sized top folding card base.  (I just love how big and yummy this image is!)  I stamped it slightly off the edge with Versamark ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.  I took my distress inks and aqua-painter to color in the image.  I then stamped the image again on a piece of masking paper and cut it out to protect my coloring and then used the Oh My Stars! Mini-ARTplorations stencil to sponge in some Tumbled Glass distress ink for the background right over top of my masked cupcake.  I very lightly sponged some extra color over the stars for a bit more blue color and depth.

I had the perfect blue color of glitter card stock to match my card, so I cut out the Celebrate Word Die-CUTplorations with it and attached it to the top of my card.

Lastly, for a bit more sparkle, I covered the blue sprinkles on the cupcake with some clear glitter glue and the frosting with a Spectrum Noir clear Glitter pen.  I also glued some sparkling clear sequins to the card and added some clear glitter glue to the centers of each one.  I also used my corner chomper on the bottom corners of the card making this a one-layer design.

Here's a closer view of some of the details:
Here you can see all of the sparkle and shine on the design from the sequins with the glittered centers along with the glittery blue sprinkles on the cupcake along with the yummy shimmer of the frosting!  The white embossing really shows up here as well as the glittery sentiment at the top.

I feel that a yummy looking cupcake is always better with some sparkle, don't you?  :)

It's Celebration Time Over at Cute Card Thursday!

Hello friends!
Swinging by to share a new challenge with you over at
CUTE CARD THURSDAY
The challenge this week is "Celebrations"!  Looking forward to seeing your lovely creations!

I thought that with St. Patrick's Day tomorrow, that this would be a good one to add to the "celebrations" list...so this is what I've come up with for this challenge:
I thought it would be fun to pull out the MFT Beast Friends stamp set and color one of them in a greenish color for St. Patty's Day!   I used the one "beast" with his hand sticking out so that I could add a gold coin in it.  Thanks with the help of my Cricut Explore, I was able to cut out a pot of gold with coins to put inside as well as a fun little hat for my beastie to wear.  :)  I actually used a bow tie from a different stamp set (Lawn Fawn Snow Cool), cut it out and attached it to the hat.  I colored it in along with the strip on his hat with a green metallic gel pen.

For the background on my card front, I pull out my new Ranger Distress Oxide Inks and made a cool background with the Broken China and Faded Jeans colors.  For the rainbow, I cut the strips from the MFT Die-namics End of the Rainbow dies with some white card stock and a piece of Stick-It double sided adhesive sheet over it.  I glued each piece to my card front and then peeled back the adhesive from one strip, then added the glitter color.  I moved on to each strip until I had them all covered with the different glitter colors.  I cut out two clouds from the same die set.  One I added in front of the rainbow for the pot of gold and the beastie to stand on, and the other at the top of the card front.  I then took the Lawn Fawn Puffy Clouds Border dies to cut out a piece for the bottom of my card front.  The pot of gold/beastie cloud was popped up with foam tape over the cloud border.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the MFT Delicious Birthday (Not in shop, so it may be retired?) at the bottom left corner of the cloud border.

Here's a close-up view of the beastie:
The camera captured the sparkle of the rainbow glitters along with the metallic shine on his hat.  You can also see the gold "coins" that are in the pot with all the dimension.  I cut the coins out with some gold foil card stock.  The one in his hand is a bit blurry, but you can still see the shine! :)

I thought this would be good for St. Patrick's Day or even a birthday (if they have one on St. Patty's Day!) or for someone that just has a cause for celebrating! :)

I had fun getting creative with this one!  Hope you like it too!
Be sure to stop by the challenge blog and check out the rest of the inspiration and be sure to play along with us this week!   We love seeing your creations!

Thanks for dropping by this morning!
Please stay tuned....I have another post coming shortly!

For Mother or Special Lady

Hello there friends!
Just swinging by to share a new challenge with you over at
CUTE CARD THURSDAY
This week we would like to see your creations for "mother/special lady".
We look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Our sponsor this week is
All Dressed Up Digital Stamps
So be sure to play along with our challenge for a chance to win!

They have provided the design team with some lovely images to work with for our creations this week, so here's what I've come up with for the challenge:
I have used the ADU image called Mirror Mirror.
I have printed her out on some Copic blending card stock and colored the image with my Copic markers and several different colors of metallic gel pens.

I masked off the bottom portion where her feet are and blending some ink at the bottom of the image panel and then also used a light hand at blending some ink in the upper left corner to make it appear as light.  Before adding the glossy accents to the mirror, I stamped a sentiment on the mirror from Altenew called Precious Moments.  I've also added a sentiment at the bottom from the same stamp set as well.

I attached this panel onto a red A2 sized top folding card base in the upper right corner and then added some stitch lines around the image panel with a white gel pen.

Here's a closer look at the details:
Here you can better see all of the shimmer and shine on the mirror.  I've stamped the sentiment, covered it with clear Spectrum Noir glitter pen and then layered it with a thick coat of glossy accents. I've also used some glitter metallic gel pens to color in around parts of the mirror, dresser, her seat and the butterflies.  I 've also added some dots around the butterflies with my white gel pen.

I hope you've enjoyed my creation today and please be sure to stop by the challenge blog to see the rest of the inspiration from the design team and join along with us this week!

Thanks for dropping in!

STAMPlorations March CAS Card Challenge - Sky Blue Smile

*If you missed my Cute Card Thursday Post today - Click Here*
-------------------------------------------

Hello friends!
I'm back again to share another new challenge with you over at the
STAMPlorations CAS Card Challenge
As always the challenge is anything CAS goes, but you can also include the twist of Sky Blue to add to your CAS card as well!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Here's what I've come up with for the challenge:
Have you ever started making a card and then what you have intended actually goes into a completely different direction than where you were going?!   This happened to me on this card! LOL!

So I was playing some more with those oxide inks (See more details about this in my post below!) and I thought that the Broken China color was a good one to use for the "sky blue" color for this challenge and I used only that one ink to make my card.  Because this was my first initial play with them, I did many different things to it, but it has several layers of the ink and was spritzed with water and layered more and spritzed more to get that oxide look on it.

As you can see, I've purposely left some of the areas white, so that's when I took the same ink color and stamped some images with the STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge stamp set over the left side of the square as well as the background of the white card base.  I also took the STAMPlorations Old Rose Prints Mini stencil and went over the right side & top of the blue square with some white ink and a sponge dauber.  While it was still wet, I sprinkled it with some clear glitter embossing powder and heat set it.

For the sentiment, I did some inlay die cutting by using the STAMPlorations Smile Word die to cut out a portion of the blue square and then I used it again to cut it out in black card stock.  I kept all of the negative pieces from the blue cut out word so that I could pop it back in to complete the design.  To attach the die, I just used some packing tape on the back side of the blue square and then I just pressed the dies into place.

I used some foam tape to mount the blue square over the square black card stock and attached it to the blue splattered card base.  I was going to add an additional black sentiment underneath the smile die, but I wasn't sure what I wanted this card to be quite yet, so I will add it later.

Here's a closer look at the blue background:
Here you can better see the sparkle on the embossed stencil design as well as the details of the oxide background using only one color.  You can also see the inlay of the word die.

Hope you've enjoyed my card today and got inspired!
Please be sure to pop on over to the STAMPlorations blog to see the rest of the design team inspiration and enter your CAS card this month!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  I appreciate your comments!

Anything Goes at Cute Card Thursday!

Hello friends!
Welcome to March!  It looks like Spring is coming in like a lion!  It was so windy and cold yesterday, but I'm so ready for Spring to come alive outside! :)

Today I wanted to share with you a new challenge up over at
CUTE CARD THURSDAY
This week is a super easy "Anything Goes"!  We can't wait to see you creations!

I have been playing around with my new Ranger Oxide inks and so I thought it would be fun to create a tag for this challenge:
I have only played a little bit with my new inks, but what I've experienced so far is really quite amazing!  These inks are a bit different than it's known counterparts of "distress" inks and they are very creamy looking when you apply it!  (If I have some time, perhaps I can share a tutorial on what I've learned about them.)

I've used a Ranger manila tag for my base and took some Broken China, Cracked Pistachio and Wilted Violet Oxide inks and the ink foam blending tool to cover the tag and spritzed with water and layered on my more colors and spritzed and played around with the design until I felt I was done.  I really like how it turned out.  (I did the same thing with the bottom layer of the butterfly, but I only used the Wilted Violet Oxide ink for that.

I took the TH bubble stencil and a sponge dauber to use over places on the tag with white ink and then I used the TH Lace Layering stencil and used some Faber-Castell Gold Texture Luxe to go over the tag along the left edge of the design.   I stamped the Impression Obsession Brush Border at the bottom with the Wilted Violet ink and then I stamped the sentiment from the Dyan Reaveley The Right Words stamp set with Ranger Jet Black ink.

For the butterfly, I took the MFT Flutter of Butterflies - Solid die and cut it out with white card stock and worked the Wilted Violet ink over it.  I then took the MFT Flutter of Butterflies - Lace die and cut it out with black card stock and glued it over top of the solid.  I put some foam tape on the bottom and made a nest with some gold thread before I attached it to the tag.  I've also taken some Inka-Gold and went over the gold embossing paste and along the edges of the tag.

Lastly, I took some gold glitter enamel dots and added them to the tag and attached some blue seam binding ribbon at the top of the tag that I sprayed with gold shimmer and crunched it up.

Here's a closer look at the background and butterfly details:
You can see the cool look of the oxide inks on the tag and also on the butterfly.
It's hard to see in the photo, but I've also used my Wink of Stella glitter pen over the butterfly on the purple areas.

Now head on over to the Cute Card Thursday blog to check out the rest of the inspiration from the design team and link up your creation with us!

Hope you've enjoyed my tag and please stayed tuned in for another post coming soon! :)
P.S.  Please let me know if you're interested in learning more about these new Oxide Inks in the comments below!
